SNM is now often called “Possibility Ministries” (July 15). In an effort to model inclusion, the GC Health Ministries Department, under the direction of Dr. Peter Landless, invited those representing Special Needs to join and be partners in sponsoring the conference. Evans INTRODUCTION Gracie Allen, the wife of George Burns, for more than 30 years, appeared on radio, television, and film, playing a single scatterbrained character, with her husband playing opposite as the straight man.   One day a parcel from a friend arrived, special delivery.  One would expect a pair of silk gloves or maybe a jeweled hairpin. Instead, inside the package was a baby alligator, wriggling and snapping, but still too small to do much harm. Gracie was heading out the door at the moment.  She was flustered about what to do with the little carnivore.  So, she put it in the bathtub, walked out the door and totally forgot about it. Lewis This past week, in preparation for today, you and I have been reflecting through our Sabbath School studies on the “Times of Loss”.   I’ve widened it in this study and included “Times of Hurt.”   I’ve done so because often moments of loss are accompanied with hurt caused by people, circumstances or things we ourselves have said or done.   During such experiences, the perspective we have makes a world of difference.   I was reminded of this when I received an email from Marti Schneider, Elder Don Schneider.
